My daughters have been riding with Payton and Sofia for quite some time now and have grown so much as riders and horsewomen. I can't speak enough about not only the barrel training, but what Payton does in developing young horses. She is kind, calm, and communicative but knows how and when to give the tough love when needed. The competition team is second to none, and truly a family who supports each other both in and out of the arena. If you are looking for a second family and a safe, normal group of people to spend time with while watching your kids learn all things horses and riding, this is your place.

I live in Northern California, but I'm frequently in Southern California visiting my beautiful Barrel Racing Granddaughters and watching them in their lessons with Payton @ PB Performance Horses and on their frequent Race Days. Both girls are thriving in the sport and reaching and surpassing their goals. I am so very impressed with their growth and knowledge and confidence ! Payton is the absolute BEST! Honestly, if you're looking for a phenomenal all-around program, PB Performance Horses is the answer. Payton and her coaches are incredibly talented at what they do and Payton's experience allows her to really work with all skill levels and all ages. If you're looking for a program to just learn the basics of riding or if you want to dive into the world of competitive barrel racing, she's got it covered. My daughter has been with her for quite some time and the amount of progress, in addition to consistent support, and overall growth as a rider and competitive barrel racer, is not just noticeable, it's inspiring. Lastly, what I would add, and what really sets her program apart from many others in the area is that she works to develop the mental strength of all her riders in addition to the actual skills needed to ride, which is something that no other Coach we've come across ever tackles. Would give her 10 stars if we could!

Sofia, Payton and Maddie are amazing ladies that will put their blood sweat and tears into training you or your little one to gain confidence on a horse. It's an amazing self esteem booster for anyone who needs that boost.

PB Performance Horses is a wonderful place to learn horseback riding. I have been with this company for 3 1/2 years. They took me as a beginner at age 62. They have been kind and helpful, but more than that they have challenged me to grow and have been considerate in all way - communication - skills set - confidence - punctuality - reliability and most importantly, kindness, and understanding. I trust my horses with their trainers, and I have gained a lot of information that I could not have gained otherwise.

I came to Payton after having some really discouraging experiences with other trainers. I wasn't having fun anymore, was struggling with my mare, and honestly felt pretty defeated. From the very beginning, Payton met me exactly where I was at. She proved quickly that she's someone I can trust, helped guide me through some tough but important decisions, and most importantly brought the joy back into riding for me.
My riding has improved tremendously, and she's helped take me to a whole new level of confidence and understanding. I truly can't recommend Payton enough -- whether you're a beginner or a more advanced rider, she's amazing at what she does.

PB Performance Horses has been such an awesome experience for both me, my family & my filly. I sent her to Payton for barrel training and the progress was unreal -- she came back more confident, more broke, and just overall better minded.
