PB Performance Horses began as a dream when Payton was just 14 years old. From an early age, Payton knew she wanted to train horses and build a life centered around the sport she loved. As she continued learning and growing as a rider, she realized that she didn’t always feel like she truly had a trainer or community beside her. That realization planted the seed for PB Performance Horses—if the environment she was searching for didn’t exist, Payton would create it herself.

In 2018, that dream started becoming reality. Payton ran her first futurity horse and placed in the 1D for the first time on a horse she trained herself, a milestone that confirmed she was on the right path. That same year, after graduating high school, Payton took on her very first lesson student, officially beginning what would grow into the PB Performance Horses program.
​
One of the most meaningful parts of the journey has been watching riders grow alongside Payton. Sofia began taking lessons before Payton left for college and rode with her for six years, developing not only as a rider but as a leader. Today, Sofia is an instructor within the program, and seeing her step into that role has been incredibly rewarding. In 2026, after two years of being a student herself, Maddie was also added as an instructor, allowing the program to continue expanding and supporting more riders.

A major milestone for PB Performance Horses came with the move to El Rodeo Equestrian Center in February of 2025. Shortly before, in January 2025, the program purchased its first official lesson horse. That move marked a season of growth—stronger relationships, new opportunities, and a deeper sense of community than ever before.
​
Today, PB Performance Horses is more than a training program. It is a place where riders can feel welcome, supported, and truly part of a team. Payton’s goal is to continue building a community where everyone feels loved, encouraged, and confident in their journey—no matter what horsey adventure they choose to pursue.
